Got Questions? Here are our FAQs

At what age would my child age out of an ABA program?

Discharge criteria is based on the client’s progress, not their age. Although some insurance providers do not cover ABA services after the age of 21, we are able to provide ABA services to adults.

Can I observe my child’s therapy sessions?

Absolutely! We offer home-based services, and you are welcome to observe therapy sessions. Please understand that your presence may affect the way your child responds to the therapist. If your child has a tendency to exhibit challenging behavior when you observe a session, we can arrange to have you view a portion of the session via FaceTime.

Do you provide services in the school setting?

Absolutely! Our team welcomes every opportunity to collaborate with your child’s teachers and other providers. If it is determined that ABA services are needed in the school setting, we will work with you to get these services set up.

Is parent training mandatory?

In short, yes. It is extremely important that parents and caregivers receive training on how to manage challenging behavior, teach appropriate replacement behaviors, and implement program changes as they are made.  Our goal is to empower parents/caregivers to effectively work with their children outside of therapy sessions. Consistency is key!

How long will my child receive ABA services before I start to see progress?

Each child is different, and we are unable to guarantee outcomes; however, clients who receive services consistently and have family participation tend to see favorable outcomes. Your child’s supervisor will work with you to identify treatment priorities, and set goals for the home, school, and community settings (as applicable).

Can my child take a vacation from therapy?

Please provide us with a 4-week notice if your child will be going on vacation and will be unavailable for treatment. Please note that we are unable to accommodate requests to take breaks from therapy lasting more than 30 days.
